Ficulle offers a good choice of restaurants and trattorias, different from each other in terms of location, style of hospitality and price, but all characterized by a quality offer, oriented towards the enhancement of typical products and traditional Umbrian cuisine. Added to these are bars for aperitifs and convivial moments, pizzerias by the slice, pastry shops and ice cream parlors that are a pleasure to discover while walking in the historic center.
Agriturismo Casal dell'Angeli
The restaurant of the Casal dell'Angeli farmhouse is also open to guests outside the structure. The environment is informal and refined, both in the layout of the restaurant and in the large outdoor patio where in summer it is possible to eat outdoors. The cuisine is typical of the tradition, prepared with mostly seasonal ingredients produced on the farm. Francesca, the owner, personally takes care of the kitchen, also dedicating herself to the preparation of homemade pasta and desserts. The farmhouse enjoys large spaces and a splendid view.
Agriturismo La Casella
The restaurant of the La Casella farmhouse is open to guests outside the structure. The environment is sober and elegant, with stone walls and a large fireplace, which gives a warm and welcoming atmosphere in all seasons. The large candlelit tables have always been the flagship of La Casella, always in the name of conviviality and socialization. The cuisine is refined and geared towards healthy eating, with homemade pasta, meat from trusted breeders, local wines, oils and flours, vegetables from the company's gardens and wild herbs.
La Gumera Ristrò
La Gumera Ristrò is a delightful place in the historic center of Ficulle. Here everything is handcrafted and homemade, including the furniture, featuring wrought iron elements forged directly by the owner. The farm's products are processed in the kitchen, with an approach that Laura and Riccardo, the two owners, love to define from the field to the table. The strictly homemade pasta, bread and desserts have flour produced on the farm as their main ingredient, while among the condiments there are seasonal products from the garden and extra virgin olive oil of own production.
L'Osteria di Vitalonga
The Osteria is part of the Vitalonga Estate. In a refined and welcoming environment, it offers dishes aimed at discovering the diversity of the flavors of the territory and their link with wine. It is the cuisine of a borderland, where typical traditional products such as game, legumes and vegetables are found, as well as extra virgin olive oil, mushrooms and truffles from the woods. The dishes offered in the various menus are always paired with the wines produced by the company and vary with the seasons.
Restaurant La Bettola del Cocciaro
La Bettola del Cocciaro is a splendid restaurant in the historic center of Ficulle. Housed in the rooms below the terracotta workshop, the environment retains the charm of the ancient cellars, with terracotta floors and vaulted brick ceilings. The restaurant also has a splendid natural terrace overlooking the east side of the village where in summer you can eat outside. The kitchen offers a typical menu completely served in traditional ceramics, with attention to the artisanal creation of pasta and desserts. The bread is produced by the chefs and cooked strictly in the earthenware made by Fabio, the cocciaro.
Restaurant La Castagneta
Family-run trattoria for 3 generations, the La Castagneta restaurant offers typical Umbrian cuisine prepared in the traditional way, in a simple and welcoming environment. The menu includes typical dishes such as Umbrian appetizers, pappardelle with goose sauce, umbrichelli with wild boar, rabbit alla cacciatora and grilled meat. The restaurant has an internal room and a large space with outdoor tables. Located along the main access road to the town, it has convenient parking.
Restaurant Pizzeria Le Fontane
Le Fontane is the restaurant of the Hotel Rilarosi, also open to guests outside the hotel. It offers à la carte menus with typical Umbrian dishes, in a simple and welcoming environment. Renowned for the generous portions and the strong flavors of the cuisine of the past, it offers a large indoor dining room and a large outdoor veranda where in summer it is pleasant to eat lulled by the breeze and with a splendid view of the medieval historic center. Le Fontane is also a pizzeria with a wood oven and is very popular for events and group dinners. A large private banquet room is also available for guests.
