Paola Biancalana's artistic ceramic craftsmanship starts from clay and then creates artistic objects.

As the result of study, imagination and research, the proposed works are inspired by popular ceramics and the tradition of terracotta processing that is characteristic of Ficulle, but with modern and international influences. Among his productions, in addition to everyday objects such as the teapot, which is one of his favourite pieces, and decorative ones, such as tiles and chimneys, there are also modular architectural elements and above all whistles, a real joy for children, which take up a tradition very old Ficullese and which have earned her prizes and reserved places in various museums.

Trained in the teachings of Bruno Munari, Paola often organizes workshops with children. Particularly noteworthy is his commitment to the Kaki Tree Project - The rebirth of time, a project carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Ficulle and the kindergarten and which saw a khaki tree from Nagasaki assigned to the community of Ficulle. , as a commitment to spreading the culture of peace in the world. As part of the project, initiatives and workshops are carried out with children today aimed at spreading the culture of peace, from which collective works of art have also been derived, such as the decoration of the staircase in the main square of the town, with leaves and persimmon fruits made of ceramic.
